How will CIVIQ be administered?
CIVIQ is a self-questionnaire for patients.
In previous surveys using the CIVIQ scale, patients were asked to complete the CIVIQ self-questionnaire in the waiting room, before being examined by the physician. A secretary handed out the questionnaire and collected it once completed. No particular assistance was provided to the patients. This strategy was chosen to avoid any interference from the investigators.
The acceptability of CIVIQ is indicated by the high rate of response whatever the study considered (to see references of works that have used the CIVIQ scale, please refer to the bibliography)
How often should patients complete CIVIQ?
The recall period for CIVIQ is 4 weeks. To avoid overlapping of data, a period of at least 4 weeks must elapse between 2 measurements of a patient’s quality-of-life.
